Ulla.

My name is Ulla Christensen, born 1938. Married to Poul Erik. We have 2 sons and 2 grown grandchildren.

For nearly 20 years secretary to general practitioners and district psychiatry.
In 1985 I began doing patchwork advised by a friend who knew I always had some needlework going.

During the years I have participated, things have develloped incredibly. Just think of the cutting kit and all the fascinating new sewingmachine techniques, the multitude of festivals and competitions.

I am selfmade and spend most of my leisure time develloping and working with patchwork techniques, which I employ in quilts and clothing. I feel that my imagination and creativity thrive doing that.

I have earlier teached machine- and handmade patchwork and quilting, applique work, and experimenting machine embroidery.

I have taught evening classes, handicraft classes, and private groups, educational center of adults, and Danish Patchwork Union e.g. at Scandinavian Festival in Odense and Stockholm. During some years I have taught an international group in Luxembourg, and I have been teacher attached to "Quilters Feelings" in the Netherlands.

I have also had time to attend classes by wellknown artists both in my own country and abroad:
